Human-centered automation platform

Join an early stage startup as a Product Designer to create a UX-focused SaaS product from 0 to 1. See your designs come to life as we build an automation-heavy, people-centric SaaS product from the ground up.

Who we are

  • Europe is facing an unprecedented worker shortage. This slows down our society’s ability to tackle the most important challenges such as climate change. The technology for clean energy is already available today, at reasonable cost, but we simply don’t have enough people to implement its adoption at scale.
  • The skilled worker shortage appears both for profiles that work at a desk, and profiles that work in the field (e.g. both planners and installers of renewable energy projects).
  • Our mission is to enable companies to solve today’s big challenges given the limited set of skilled workers. Our software creates high-performance teams through advanced training and team collaboration – starting with onboarding. Kwest is made for companies with a skilled workforce – no matter if they work at a desk or in the field.

How we see design at Kwest

  • We are a product-oriented company in a field where great UX matters a lot to our customers. All of us have worked on software products before, and we know that great design is only possible if designers are integrated into the process early and are part of decision making, not just delivery. Hence, we want to root great design practices into our ways of working right from the start. To do this well, we are looking for an experienced team member.

What to expect in the next months
💡 Your mission for this role is to bring our product designs to high-fidelity, to design new features and flows from scratch, and to continuously iterate on the look and feel of our product and brand appearance in close collaboration with product and engineering.

  • We are currently working on our MVP and work in rapid iterations to test our ideas with our early customers.
  • We work super closely with our users and have several customer demos a week to collect feedback. We have a close relationship to (potential) customers – let us know what you need to validate your work and we will do our best to enable you.
  • We will continue to do a lot of rapid prototyping and testing with Figma ideas. We work pragmatically with existing component libraries to speed up both design and implementation. We focus on creating an experience that feels natural and intuitive.
  • We will continue to grow our team. You will be among our first hires, and we want to grow into a small but mighty product squad in the next couple of months.

Your areas of ownership

  • Own our design prototyping. We continuously learn through experiments, and would like you to be in the driver seat for turning learnings into designs. We currently have multiple iterations a week, so rapid work and good craftsmanship are as important as understanding what the user really needs.
  • Work closely with engineering to bring designs into our product in an effective, pragmatic manner.
  • Work closely with product during research, validation, and bringing concepts & business requirements to concrete shapes and flows.

Who you will work with

  • We’re a team with unique insights in building learning programs for skilled workers, developing best-in-class software products, and scaling companies from 0 to 1.
